Bottled Water Myths we don’t know
Bottled water is one
of the most convenient way in drinking water, because anywhere you go just find
for a store or any market you can easily find bottled water. The creation of
bottled water is considered to be as a breakthrough in the invention of plastic
materials, because in this small container, it contains a magical liquid that
our body needs and that is the water. Water is one of the most important thing
that we need to have in every single day of our lives, because the water helps
our body to replenish the intestines and to assure that the body is always
hydrated. Every time that the body is lack of water there is a strong
possibility that your body will adapt illness, minor sickness or worse case
diseases that is very hard to cure. Water is very important part of our lives,
because of this issue, the people whose work is to invent things that will make
the lives of people, invented the bottled water, for the people to keep
hydrated whenever and wherever they go. This bottled water has actually a
negative effect in our health and in the environment. There are a lot of

1. Convenient and very cheap to buy. There
are some water companies that are distributing bottled water in our convenience
store that are cheap and affordable, but I’m sure you are one of those who gets
angry when the price of bottled water are too pricey. There are a lot of
factors why bottled waters became expensive: 1. The mode of transportation used
in the delivery, 2. The amount of production per bottle 3. The name of the
bottled water 4. The profit of the resellers. These are the common factors, but
supposed to be bottled water should not be that expensive; rather it should be
cheap and affordable, because it is only water that you put in a bottle and
treated to last for a long time.
The fact of the matter is… Bottled
water costs 240 to over 10,000 times more per gallon than tap water. Most
municipal water costs less than 1 cent per gallon. Public drinking water
sources are becoming more convenient with the renaissance of public hydration
stations, water fountains, and organizations like TapIt that provide public
drinking water information.
For example, in San Francisco, the municipal water comes from inside
Yosemite National Park. It’s so good the EPA doesn’t require San Francisco to
filter it. If you bought and drank a bottle of Evian, you could refill that
bottle once a day for 10 years, 5 months, and 21 days with San Francisco tap
water before that water would cost $1.35. Put another way, if the water we use
at home cost what even cheap bottled water costs, our monthly water bills would
run $9,000!
What is more convenient than nearly-free water running from your kitchen
tap, and from public sources in schools, parks, offices, and sports stadiums?
Sadly, we have come to confuse “disposability” with convenience; but there is
nothing convenient about shipping water thousands of miles from its source, or
all the waste and other costs associated with needless production and disposal
of plastics. Use a reusable bottle when you are out in public places and fill
up at existing water sources.
In the recent study, bottled water users
were twice as likely as non-users to cite health for their choice of beverage.
56% of bottled water users cited taste and 55 percent cited convenience as the
strongest influences on their decision to drink bottled water. Slightly more
than one in three users of bottled water said their trust in the treatment and
the source of the water as reasons that influenced their choice of beverage.
These are the myths about bottled water, what we need to be is to be more
educated and knowledgeable with these matters, because our safety and health is
at stake. To know more about the ASEA product please
